Baku–Tbilisi Train Services Add Daytime Departures and Lower Fares
On 4 November, Azerbaijan Railways announced expanded daytime services on the Baku–Tbilisi route, increasing seat capacity by 46% and reducing standard one-way fares to approximately GEL 55 from selected stations. The changes create a more affordable rail option for cross-border travellers and support regional tourism and business mobility; the reported fare is route- and station-dependent. The development creates opportunities for tour operators, hotels and passenger-service providers; HPC can support tourism-market research, destination marketing and hospitality investment planning.
